Frequently asked questions

What are some common conditions that physical therapists can treat virtually?

For information on types of conditions that can be treated virtually, please check out our services page.

How do I know if i’m a good candidate for virtual physical therapy?

If you have recurring aches and pains, or are having any problems with daily tasks and hobbies we may be able to help! Take advantage of our 15-minute free consultation to see if virtual physical therapy is the right choice for you. We’ll be happy to go over any questions you may have. If we can’t help, we’ll do our best to refer you to someone who can.

Do I have to have a computer with a camera to participate? If I do not, can I use a phone?

Either a phone or a computer will work. As long as there is a camera, we can easily set up a virtual session.

What equipment do I need?

Nothing! Our therapists are trained to use items in your house and/or your body weight. A blood pressure cuff may be necessary for some patients. If you don’t have one, we can help get one for you.

How long is a typical visit and what does it entail?

Assessments and initial treatments typically last about 45 minutes. Follow-up treatments are generally 30 minutes.

Are you available in all states?

We are currently available in most states. We suggest getting in touch with us today to see if we are already offering services in your state and, if not, when we will be.

What should I expect during my consult?

A therapist will ask you about what brings you to physical therapy and answer any questions you may have. They may give some pointers on exercises or techniques. You will then have the option to schedule further visits if you’d like.

How far in advance can I schedule appointments?

Whenever you want!

What forms do I need to fill out to request treatment?

There is a brief form to complete before both your free consultation and your initial evaluation. These forms allow our therapist to have a better idea of your needs. When you click on either the “Consultation” or “Schedule Appointment” button, a new tab will open and you will be taken to a HIPPA compliant form.

Do I need a referral from my primary physician?

In most states, no, but it depends on the regulations in your state. Give us a call, and we can assist you.

Do you take insurance?

We do not currently accept insurance.

What are your accepted payment methods?

We accept credit cards and ACH payments (e-checks).

Can I choose the gender of my physical therapist?

Definitely. Just let us know your preference when you call to schedule.

What are the risks associated with virtual therapy?

Patients who are at an elevated risk of falling should be sure to let their virtual therapist know and may want to have a family member or friend present at the time of their appointment.
